no, this isnt one of my usual LMAO threads, except to tschlong

    LMAO tlong

anyways, back to the point, how did you honestly feel about the officiating tonight? it seemed to favor the mavs, but more so i think because the blazers and the crowd was acting so childishly over a couple bad calls, and the NBA refs in their usual bull ting ways, decided to just piss them off even more.

did you all feel it was as one-sided as the crowd seemed to feel it was?

I really wasn't up set I was more pissed that we gave free shots with the two late techs and the batum and terry foul.. there where some questionable calls, but the refs can't always make the right one.. I've seen worse games... portland played with too much emotion and it burned them imo.. dallas kept there composure especially dirk. This was a big game both teams knew it. However only one showed it down the stretch

undoubtedly, well in the 4th for sure. When Terry ran into that defender twice, the 2nd time running straight for him and then the foul was called on him..... first time I ever felt bad for a Trailblazer. But I enjoyed the win.

In the final stretch, there was only one bad call - the no call on Andre Miller and the subsequent tech. The Terry/Batum thing was iffy but they both were going at it, it could have gone either way. Everything else was legit. Nate McMillan clearly dropped an F-Bomb which is going to get you a T every time. The ball bounced off Miller's head out of bounds that other time, and the traps on Roy worked perfectly and I honestly didn't see a foul.

and tbh there were some terrible no-calls that went against Dallas earlier. Even Hollinger wrote that it was a horribly officiated game for both sides.

I agree, I didn't think it was terribly one-sided either. I think throughout the course of the game, more-so early on, there were a few ticky tack fouls that were called in Dallas favor, that seemed to really happen after the two issues that happened with Najera. But tbh the 4th seemed to be reffed pretty fairly imho.

This games officiating heavily favored the mavs like the game last week where the blazers were heavily favored.

por fans should be pissed, dirk and terry travels that weren't called, techs, miller no calls etc

still great win though. damn those fans are nuts...anyone hear that guy in the mavs tv broadcast telling carlisle to "sit the down coach i cant ing see"? Lmao

well there was definitely a share of no-calls that went in portlands favor as well. such as the blatant double dribble by Roy.

I didn't see it that way. the refs were terrible for both teams.

Even Hollinger said as much. We all know he'd rather eat a turd sandwich than give the Mavs credit for anything, but he wrote this tonight:

Mavs win 83-77. Held Roy to 13 pts. They earned it.
Quick side note: Blazers are losing this game on merit. Refs have been horrid both ways. But this is worst officiated game I've seen this yr
wow..Roy both palmed AND double dribbled in open court w/ no call. I'm speechless.
    it was bad both ways.

Yeah, weird game. Refs were letting a lot of stuff go, yet the Mavs shot a lot of free throws. Refs missed an obvious travel on Roy in the first half that led to an easy Portland basket.

Blazers lost their composure over a couple of questionable calls.

@blazersedge: the nba has just issued a memo correcting 74 calls made in the 1st quarter of tonight's game. please don't print the memo. it's green week.

I prefer this brand of officiating to ticky tacky bull , tbh.

I thought both teams got away with some . Refs may have slightly favored Dallas but didn't decide the outcome, imho.

As a Laker fan who doesnt care much for either team. The refs really did help the mavs out and favored them. But the Portland fans were acting like a bunch of babies. But it's the NBA what do u expect, refs are unpredictable

The refs clearly favored one team over the other and it wasn't close.

But that isn't why the Blazers lost. The Blazers lost by being idiots.

I whole-heartedly support the fans on this one though, especially the courtside ones that paid big money to see athlete play, not refs blow.

Someone threw something at the refs in this one, which is why the fan talking got ejected. Refs felt threatened.

Good. They should be threatened after performing so incompetently.

But like I said, the Blazers lost not because the refs threw the game (because Dallas played like a pile of the whole game) but because they let the refs get in their head.

Blazers whined and yelled from minute one.

Roy, Miller, even on obvious right calls. They didnt focus on the game.

I saw Roy more often yelling than making a good play...

Yeah, the refs were clearly sticking it to the Blazers by letting Brandon Roy get away with a blatant double dribble.

Wow. How classless are Dallas fans? I just blamed the loss on our team, and not the refs, and a fan of the winning team proceeds to whine about a call that the refs just blatently missed that cost them... two points. Not a lead, not anything, just two points.

Wow. How clueless are Portland fans? You said the refs clearly favored one team over the other. How does Roy getting away with a blatant double dribble help your point?

It takes a special breed of re to say their team lost because the refs got in their head, but it wasn't the refs fault even tho they heavily favored the other team which is why they could get into the heads of the ty team that lost to begin with.

Actually the Blazers lost because the refs screwed us. There's no doubt about that and I don't have a problem saying it. It doesn't bother me though because I know we can beat the Mavs' ass.

...with Miller scoring 52 and Howard hitting long jumper in crunchtime

A team with Brandon Roy crying about the refs, great.

6 points win, counting crappy calls/non-calls for the Blazers (Roy travel, Roy lowering the shoulder etc) i say Blazers still sucked way too much to win.
