Get out.
if we had Ariza instead of Jefferson. I really feel we could have gotten Ariza last offseason, had we not prematurely traded for RJ.
at any rate, we have the hand we are dealt....and while I think we can and will beat the Mavs, I see it being nip and tuck the entire way.
If we had Ariza, I would pick us in 5. With RJ, I will pick us in 7.
no, i think i will stay for a while
I would feel a lot more confident if we had Larry Bird in his prime.
I'd feel a lot more confident if George Hill's ankle was 100%.
I would feel a lot more confident if I did not watch Ghazi's youtube videos.
Personally, I'd feel a lot more confident if we had these guys starting:
PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Larry Bird
PF: Bill Russell
C: Wilt Chamberlain
And we had Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, LeBron James, Tim Duncan, and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar coming off the bench.
But we don't, so oh well.
I wasn't a big fan of the Jefferson acquisition when it happened, but if he rebounds and plays the kind of above-the-rim weakside defense we've seen him exhibit to end the season and get the Dallas bigs into fould trouble rather than settle for jumpers HE might actually prove to be the wildcard.
Lol yeah trading nothing for a 20 point a game guy I could believe someone almost a year lager saying "nah never liked it"![]()
Depends. There were questions regarding Jefferson's production minus a Jason Kidd on a contender.....that, and he travels on half of his drives to the basket (but to his defense, the NBA has been soft on enforcing that call). He rebounding and shotblocking though have become large assets to the team donw the stretch, especially with the team's lack of size/athleticism in the paint.
8-2 in last 10 which means the Mavs will have an 80% chance of winning every game, IMO![]()
They got him for nothing. You do that trade 99 times out of 100. Period...
Meh, as long as he produces.
This is a great time to let things like this go.
well if we got ariza, we would have no money to sign Dice. He's not that great but it's better him than Bonner starting all year.
Plus I doubt Ariza would have signed here. He seems like the type that wants money instead of being on a winning team.
Besides most posters here were praising the RJ trade. RJ>>> playing 40 year olds one more year.
