RP would first have to declare, then beat the GOP field in the primaries, then receive his party's nomination and then convince the country that he isn't too old and too weird to lead it. A very tall order.
Paul's biggest problem is with republicans, not democrats.

For me she was already toast when she resigned as Governor of Alaska. By 2012, we should have a pretty good idea if half-termer Sarah Palin will really stick in the political arena.
My own prediction is that after the 2012 elections Sarah Palin will be neither in political office nor on TV.
