Do the Jazz actually scare any Laker fans?

Seems like the Lakers toy with the Jazz when its time to get serious, i think the they could take it in 5. Utah wins Game 3.

    Predictions?

again seems like every time the Jazz play the Lakers they are without Okur, who would be a huge matchup problem for the Lakers.

Okur will be a big loss. He had a huge series (by his standards) in the 2008 series against LA - and he would have opened up the paint for the rest of the guys. Everytime the Jazz play the Lakers it seems like a block party for Bynum and Pau, and even Odom.

Guys like Boozer and Millsap just havent got the size to finish around the rim over the Laker front line.

Okur was destroyed by Odom the last 2 games between the team.

    In the 2008 series.

    21-19
    16-5
    22-7
    18-11
    13-13
    16-10

He's probably not the same player as he was then, but he's played well against LA in the playoffs before. That was a really tough series for the Lakers. The very next season Okur was out for almost that entire series (played about 15 minutes in the final two games) and they beat the Jazz handily in 5.

Although that was probably more to do with the fact that Jarron Collins was his replacement.

Nah...we win game 3. We really ed ourselves over by losing the last game of the year to Phoenix. Suns should be playing LA right now while we cruise past the Spurs.

Anyway...it was a fun season. Lakers in 5. Bring on the draft lottery!!

Millsap is a better than Okur and the Lakers struggle keeping him off the glass. The Jazz won't really miss Okur sitting behind the 3pt line chucking threes

Sucks for LA that they finish a grueling series last night, and then BAM, another grueling series starts tomorrow.

Boo hoo. The Jazz are in the same boat because they leave for LA today. At least the lakers get a day to rest in their beds.
the jazz were able to rest in their beds last night while the lakers flew back. sounds fair to me

I know. Beating up on the same team over and over and over again is just hard work for us.
Yeah Luva, your Lakers really beat up OKC by a whopping one point last night.

I rested on my couch last night whilst visions of Pau instinctively going to the front of the rim danced in my gourd.

The Jazz have a lottery pick? Did they trade for someone's pick?

The best part of it is that was Phoenix's pick from New York (from the Marbury deal), but they traded it to Utah to get the Jazz to take the final year of Tom Gugliotta's contract. Sarver just continued a tradition of Phoenix being cheap and trading their lotto picks when he took over four months later.

Lakers in 3. ...Seriously, every time the Jazz meet the Lakers in the Playoffs, its a cake-walk. That's why even though the Nuggets were so damn dysfunctional, I was rooting for them to get past Utah because they would've at least put up a fight against LA in a series. But instead, now we have a weak series...
