They're just going to keep pushing his "return" further and further back everytime. A back, especially a bulging disk, is something he should be very, very careful with.

R. Lopez doubtful for Game 2 on Wednesday
Suns coach Alvin Gentry said Robin Lopez (back/leg) is a "longshot" to play in Game 2 on Wednesday.
On a positive note, Lopez hasn't been ruled out for Games 3 & 4 in San Antonio. How much do the Suns need his size? Their starting center, Jarron Collins, finished Game 1 scoreless with one rebound in nine minutes.

Unfortunately with the schedule of this series there are no 2-day breaks, so presumably there'll be no practices for him to try out his injured back (and see if he has any legs and wind). So if he does play, they'll just have to throw him into a game.
I guess they could run a small scrimmage with some of the bench players.
Has there been any report of his activities?
It's obvious that they don't need him with them securing the win in game 1....
