Who has the best chance of making NBA history and for the first time come back from a 3-0 hole to win the series?
To Make Things Interesting, Place A Percentage Next To Each Team
San Antonio Spurs - 30%
(Facing The Suns)
Utah Jazz - 30%
(Facing The Lakers)

Ni uno, none, nada...
Well, at least Utah has had a chance to win a game. The Spurs haven't been anywhere close to winning a game, and they're even more confused (after 3 games) about how to defend the Suns. You don't hear any Utah players saying, "We have to play a perfect game" or "It's demoralizing" - especially not the player with the most heart :-(
The Spurs problems are simple, guard the 3 point shootout that has allowed this Suns team to get back into the game. Let them get the 2 pointer but don't allow any 3 pointers!
If you shut down their 3 point shooters, you allow Nash and Stoudemire and maybe one more guy to get his in the paint but at the end of the day, 2 is much better than a 3.
These aren't the Dallas Mavericks we are facing who was a team that enjoyed getting inside the paint at will and scoring easy buckets of turnovers.
So give them the paint but shut down their 3 point shooting.
Historically speaking, the Spurs have 0% chance of coming back.
30%?
I think you forgot to carry a one or something there, fella.
30%?
Don't get into the Bookie business lol
More like 30/100th of a percent. What's exactly going to change to make the Spurs win 4 straight over them? Does Pop have a time machine to go snatch 2008 Roger Mason and go reverse the Scola and Jefferson deals?
i was thinking to myself that if anybody could do it, it'd be this year's spurs although i'm preparing myself for the worst.
spurs: 11%
jazz: 4%
hawks: 1%
Teams in an 0-3 hole:
NBA: 0-88
MLB: 1-30
NHL: 2-157
Total: 3-275 (1.17%)
Someone will do it in the NBA eventually, just don't bank on this team.
It will happen one day, but not this year.
If any NBA team can do it, it's the Spurs because they are playing against the Suns. We have experienced heartbreaks at the hands of the Spurs many times. (I still remember Tim Duncan's 3 pter at the end of the 1st OT in 2008 to send game 1 into OT. The Suns never recovered from that shock.) I just hope this time it won't be just another way of breaking our hearts. If that happens, I doubt that I (or the Suns) will ever recover from it.
I would put the Spurs chances of winning the series at 20%.
If it was any other team (except the Lakers) those chances would have been down to 5%.
I won't relax until the Suns close out this series, hopefully in game 4 or 5. They still have the odds in their favor. If Spurs win games 4 and 5, I would get very nervous.
Jazz have the best chance...
teams leading 3-0 have a 100% chance of winning the series.
If we win tonight and game 5, it's going 7 games....and really it's anybody's game then.
Relative to the other teams, I think the spurs have the best chance....still a longshot though
If the Spurs won 4 in a row to eliminate the Suns now, it would be the most devastating, heartbreaking, soul crushing defeat in NBA history. There would be riots!
Don't worry, though, Suns fans...not gonna happen. The Spurs are 'bout ta get swept tonight.
If we could trade Pop for Tyrus Thomas and John Salmons I might have a glimmer of hope in the spurs' chances to come back in this series.
1.17% for the Spurs
0.09% for the Jazz
0.00% for the Hawks
99% NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
