whats the story with james gist? havent heard anything about him in a while...
i remember people were very high on him and then he had a dissapointing summer league that made the spurs decide to send him to europe longer...

He's not doing much. The man we expected him to be turned out to be Dejuan Blair.

He's not doing anything different since the last Gist thread which was started about 48 hrs ago..
one more wasted draft pick playing overseas......
He was playing with a Russian team but not much info on how he did in that league?
Gist was REALLY bad in Summer League..while Blair, Hill and Hairston dominated, and while Ian was pretty good, Gist and McClinton were probably the worst players on the entire team..
His size was a liability against the big players, and he didn't have the shot, handles or quickness to get by on the perimeter..he's gonna have to find a niche and focus on it to make the NBA..
yeah, gist looked unsure whether he wanted to be a 3 or a 4. instead of being a hybrid, he just kind of sucked at both positions.
