Allright folks, I need some help.

I'm a big fan of the old school emulator rpg's. You know, games like Lufia, FF tactics, FF 3&4, tales of phantasia, etc.

I'm looking to get back into playing them, and I was hoping some of the more experienced gamers here would be willing to list some good games they've played over the years. Give a short description if you can, please.

    Thanks.

Look up some "top 100" rpgs list or something. You'll undoubtedly find much more info quicker.

Dragon Warrior. There's just something so timeless about the phrase, "Thou art dead."

DW2 for sure is a . I've beat them all over my life, but for some reason DW2 just makes things so hard. A lot of times you're just sailing around looking for random you'll know you never find. DW2 is actually pretty open ended for an old school console game. Damn, I need to go play some old school rpgs myself now.

    "A SLIME has appeared?" Action?

Thou tried to run from the slime but was blocked in front!

    A slime attacks!

A slime has scored a CRITICAL HIT!

    Thou lose 1 hit point.

    Action?

    Anyway.....

    How old school?

    Xenogears springs to mind.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI (3 here in the states) are still my favorite RPGs of all time.

Earthbound (I never got into it but a lot of people did)

    Secret of Mana was good.

    Illusion of Gaia

    Phantasy Star

    Hmmm what else.

Dragon Warrior is a classic, and pretty much defines RPGs.

Earthbound was an entertaining modern RPG.

Most of the Final Fantasy series is pretty decent, although FF Mystic Quest might make you want to punch yourself in the face. I still need to get my hands on another working copy of FF Tactics.

Super Mario RPG was aight. Better if you're a Nintendo fan.

    Zelda (take your pick)

    Willow?

....most of the good ones are already on the list.
