I've pretty much quit watching television because of the reality trend.
When reality tv shows first came out the novelty of it was excellent and I didn't mind it.
It is getting ridiculous when the popularity of "reality TV" is polluting channels that have no business airing them. History channel showing Ice Road Truckers? Pawn Stars? WTF!!! I want to see some ing history, not a bunch of people getting overdramatic in front of the camera.
Discovery Channel even went on board with the damn Deadliest Catch and Whale Wars. At least it involves nature though.
What ever happened to good 'ol TV? Shows like Air Wolf, A-Team, Knight Rider, MacGuyver, Quantum Leap, Stairway to Heaven.
TV is becoming a god damned joke. I guess that is why I don't watch it much anymore. However, when I get in the mood to watch the good 'ol history channel... some re ed ing show is on that has absolutely nothing to do with history.
Anyways... /rant
