I remember watching that game on TV, and by that time, I think it was 91 or 92, Bird was already way past his prime, perhaps even last season, and that game was relatively late in the year, with teams starting to fight for playoff position.
Blazers was one of the hot picks for the champs, much like the early 00 Kings and mid 00 Suns, and Bird still manages to destroy that team with his bad back and all.
BTW, how many shots did Kersey shoot? It seems like, at least in the first half, every Bird defensive rebound came from a Kersey shot.
