rumor is that dirk opted out of his contract.
Mavs might go after free agents like wade.
is there a way we can sign and trade for dirk?
I think he would be great with the spurs.
Like;ly he resigns multi year with mavs. but

Sure it can happen. I can't think of anything the mavs would love to do more than sign and trade their franchise player to their biggest rival.
dirk hates the spurs. He would NEVER come over to the light.
More importantly, although dirk is a special offensive player, I don't know that he plays D well enough to ever be the top dog on a champion.
He would be a super-dangerous 2nd on a team, though.

Right, I seen the le an started laughing! Mostly at the Mavs fans that thought there was a possibility Dirk would become a Spur! Hey it could happen, he sho don't seem to be in it for the $$$$! SA is just right down 35 so he can stay in Dallas or a short move to SA.

Dirk is not leaving the Mavs, he's a company man and Cuban will take care of him if they can't find him a partner in free-agency.
This. One of Dirks biggest failings in his FA bid is his loyalty. At the end of the day, he'll be rubbing with Cuban in Big D once more.
Dirk will end up resigning with the Mavs, they will give him a long max contract.
rumour in dallas is that donnie is only going to give him an 86 million dollar contract.
if that happened:
dirk would be pissed at the mavs cheapness
would not re-sign with the mavs
would go to SA, cuban and the mavs biggest rival
sign for the LLE or the vet min
