I wonder if that is what portland offered spurs for tp
"The Blazers got close to a deal with the Hornets last week that would’ve sent Andre Miller, Joel Przybilla, Nicolas Batum, Jerryd Bayless and the 22nd pick to NO for Paul before Jeff Bower pulled out of the deal saying that their owner wasn’t ready to trade Paul. The trade they made on draft night got them out of the luxury tax, so that’s no longer the issue. The issue is whether Paul is no unhappy enough to force a trade. Personally I think the Hornets can do better than that for Paul, but it’s a viable deal."

Wow, that would've been the steal of the decade for the Blazers.![]()

Damn, a core of Roy, Aldrige, Oden (if healthy), & Paul? That would be nasty.
Bower would have been killed within a week if he made that trade.
I feel for New Orleans... they have a true star in Paul, but they also know they just don't have the money to put other guys around him. According to most reports, that team has a serious chance of simply going under financially. It's unfortunate, because if they played somewhere else they'd be selling out the arena and making money. Their recent draft picks have been very good too, so it's not like they don't understand how to assemble a good team. They just don't have the necessary cash.
So Chad Ford, having completely failed to predict anything that WILL happen, is now breaking a story about something that COULD HAVE happened.
Lol hornets would be in contention for joke franchise.
Seriously, The Blazers and their fans. They are always bragging about their "young, talented team with depth at every position," they insist that Oden isn't a bust, and they are trying to get our franchise player for nothing.
Wow. I wonder if the Spurs even tried to make an offer like Parker, Blair, and the #20 for Paul.
I at least got LaMarcus Aldridge in the deal when I made it in the GM game...
When I came in, I was wondering about this, but you gave away David West too to acquire LaMarcus Aldridge.
