Hopefully if it does, it goes to ground in coastal Mexican mountains or deep south Tx where there's little besides some cattle to get wet. Do NOT need this to go screw up the BP situation even more.
It's forming up now and could jump the Yucatan this weekend.

Best scenario is that it hits around Port Mansfield as a wet tropical storm and we get some much needed rain out of it.
Looking likely to hit Texas somewhere. Current rough estimate somewhere between Brownsville and Corpus Wednesday/Thursday.
I'm sorry for all the farmers that have corn/milo near the coast ready to harvest that will get ruined but we sure need the rain in Central Texas.
is this going to up my plans for july1-july8 in rockport?
From the looks of it, it is heading straight for me.![]()
pego, rockport isnt between corpus and brownsville
SA chance of t-storm ALL week!

Probably nothing damaging for TX or the BP disaster.

Serious question for Victoria boys...I'm on call when this thing is projected to hit and Victoria is imy region. If this thing hits in some way in the area what are the chances that Victoria gets massive flooding/gets effected? Do you all freak out like San Antonians or do you just deal with it?
I can deal with San Antonio possibly freaking out about flooding but Victoria? Since it's a long holiday for our office (30th-5th) it's all in my hands if there are any problems. I just want to be prepared for any foreseable disasters.
Where is WeatherManny?
reckoning you fool! the eye is expected to hit somewhere between there.
the only problem victoria has ever experienced with hurricanes is high winds. the guadalupe goes through victoria but that only floods when we get a load of rain to the north of us
its just a trop depression. you're fine. why does everyone like to freak out about hurricanes? katrina is not the norm
Thank ya very much. I guess I shouldn't worry too much then.
i wouldnt worry AT ALL if i were you
There are some pretty heavy looking storms in the oil spill area according to weather.com's radar map. Also, I can't seem to find the hurricane on said map. where is it?
You don't know these foster parents. They call when a kid is constipared.
I have been reading that it might get up to a Category 2 hurricane. In 2008, we got hit by Hurricane Dolly, and it was a Category 1 hurricane. Our city was without electricity for 4 days, and some areas went without electricity for a week. No, it wasn't a Katrina, but it did do some damage.
In my area, we will start seeing showers this afternoon, but won't get a strong wind/rain combination until tomorrow night.
what podunk town do you live in that gets detroyed by a category 1?![]()
how many kids do you have in victoria?
I didn't say we got "destroyed." I said it caused some damage.
you said you were without elec for 4 days and other parts for a week? thats some weak ass for a category 1
At the team meeting today I heard 47 based in the Victoria office (which encompasses the whole area...Victoria county, dewitt county, calhoun county goliad county and even gonzales county). We have somewhere between 150-175 in the SA office.
