"...is not that he won six championships in Chicago. Heck, Robert Horry won more les than Jordan. No, what made Jordan so admired is that when the Bulls drafted him, they were a dead franchise. If they had sent a limo to pick him up at the draft, it would have been a hearse. :

Jordan, through his talent and will, made the Bulls the most successful organization in sports. We saw him score 63 points against the Celtics in the playoffs and lose. We saw him get knocked down, literally and figuratively, by the Pistons. And we saw how much it meant to him when he finally won, in 1991 -- and how, from then on, he seemed unbeatable.

He stayed Loyal to a franchise that was underpaying him year after year. He give his heart and soul to that franchise. He didn't give up. It took him 8 years to get one. So no I hope nobody ever compare him to Mike again."

If Lebron read this, I bet he'd want to change his mind.

chasing jordan's legacy is futile. lebron is smart enough to know that. he'd rather create his own legacy by doing this unprecedented FA formation and go out and win with the superfriends.

    Best Part:
And this is why James cannot achieve that whole global icon thing on a superteam. Like James, Jordan chased every off-court dollar. The man made a movie with Bugs Bunny. But fans always believed that Jordan's desire to win came first -- and Jordan seemed to understand that was essential to his mass appeal. He never would have bolted for another team to make his championship path easier, because that would have been a cop-out. Jordan's ego was too big for cop-outs. He was too compe ive.

If that's how you want to define legacy then Kobe's legacy is that he forced a trade to a team that has an easy road to greatness thanks to its legacy and its limitless wealth of resources instead of saving the Charlotte Hornets franchise.

This thread isn't about Kobe. Hes already lost his place in the GOAT talks.
Lebron had his chance, but lost it.

this is kind of re ed. guys like jordan and lebron will do anything to win. lebron will do anything to win, even if it hurts his own legacy. if anything, accepting help from bosh and wade at the expense of his legacy and salary just proves how much he is willing to sacrifice to win. that's compe iveness.

Jordan will never be caught, at least not in my lifetime, which is why it's insulting when the media and casual fan compares #6-24 to him..

Jordan has significantly more great games in the Finals than he does poor games..#6-24 doesn't..

This thread has nothing to do with Kobe, there are plenty of other Kobe threads for you to post in timvp. Does you wife need to remind you that there is a 24/7 Kobe thread stickied at the top of this forum?
