Nice piece of writing.
It's a business no doubt.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...decision070910They ended up with that split-screen of the King’s jersey burned live on his infomercial, as this sad, lost robot sat in a leafy suburban gymnasium with children as props and the world watching, those empty eyes masking a lost, dazed LeBron James(notes). This was the champagne shower for the Championship of Me, an exercise in self-aggrandizement and self-loathing that will have far-reaching implications for the NBA and James. What a spectacle, what a train wreck...

If I didn't know any better, I'd think Wojo disapproves of Lebron's decision.
Lettuce be reality,
The James Jersey burning shows nothing more than that some fans out there are so pathetic they take sports that seriously.
For all we know, that burning occurred out in the ESPN parking lot by the local intern for more BSPN production drama.
Brought to you by the world wide leader in sports, ESPN!!!
I think Wojo got it right. As arrogant and self-absorbed as James it, the owner enabled every bit of it. He got what he deserved. As for the self-proclaimed King (Queen), he deserves some of the scathing criticism and hopefully a big dose of humble pie, somewhere down the road.
I don't feel for either of them. I enjoyed reading every word.
Keep giving them Wojo.
A journalist with the balls to call out a sports icon? Huh, you don't see enough of those.
Great article.
