Kobe was 17 years old and was nowhere near the caliber of player any three of Wade, LeBron, or Bosh are now. Kobe developed into an elite player while playing with Shaq. It would be more like Duncan joining the Lakers in the summer of 2000.
I agree people shouldn't about this, but the analogy with Shaq and Kobe is extremely off.
