Yeah, probably. But the West may be deeper.
Miami - Wade Bosh LeBron
Boston - Allen Pierce, Garnett (Aging)
Orlando
Bulls - Rose, Boozer, Noah
Hawks
Milwaukee
Charlotte
?
West
Lakers
and ???
No. All of the playoffs team in the West would curbstomp any teams in the East except for Miami, Orlando, and Boston. Every other team isn't as good as the 50 win team in the 8th spot next season.
East is top heavy ....... after the top four teams ....... floating turds
West is still the dominant conference, but I guess we really wont know until we watch next season.
Nope. Delonte West > LeBron James in the East.
The West is extremely overrated by fans of the West, TBH..3 of the 4 best teams in the NBA are in the East, and Phoenix/Utah both got a lot worse in this off-season..
West has two good teams.
Lakers: Kobe, Gasol,Odom, Artest & Bynum
OKC:
Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Jeff Green
You shouldn't include Jeff Green if you're trying to argue for OKC, TBH..
Ibaka > Jeff Green..
Jazz and Suns got weaker with the departures of Boozer and Amare but the west got 3 good teams last year and continues with the same number this year only Miami instead of Cleveland. West is still stronger overall.
The East is like the 2010 Lakers. Great top 4-5, beyond that pretty bad.
The West is like the 2010 Cavs. Fantastic top 1, probably best in the NBA. Big drop off from there, but still deep all the way to 9-10.
The West will be a jungle, as usual, but the East is the stronger conference this year.
I like watching WC games, the EC games are too predictable..
Sad but true.
Whoever said the East is top heavy and the West more deep is absolutely right.
After the Heat in the East there are only a couple of locks for the Playoffs:
- Bulls, Celtics, Magic, Hawks, maybe Milwaukee
In the West after the Lakers there are:
- Mavs, Spurs, Jazz, Blazers, Thunder, Denver, Houston (if healthy), Grizzlies (if improving)
and a few darkhorses in the Clippers (with Blake healthy) and the Warriors (with Lee) - this will be a pretty compe ive regular season.
west is still deeper but the east's three big teams are in a different league with only LA
Just because the teams in the west are of comparable talent doesn't make them "deeper." In considering playoff worthy teams, the east is stronger than the west. Miami, Orlando, Boston, Chicago, Milwauke, Atlanta, all solid teams.
The spurs? The mavs? the suns? Jazz? Spurs may not even get splitter to cooperate and mavs and suns just shot themselves in the face. Jazz also took a big loss, and the blazers are the blazers. Who exactly is considered a threat in the west besides lakers/okc?
Let's be real, they both have sucked. The West look poised to get Bukkaked by the Lakers for the 4th straight year. The Lakers and Spurs have won 11 of the past 12 Western Conference les. You expect for all this 'deeper' talk you'd have different teams coming out of the West. If anything, it's the West that's been traditionally top-heavy.
You must have been asleep the last day...![]()
Don't sell the Jazz short. Haywood may be the steal of the draft. Replaces Korver +. Boozer is replacable because he has never improved the teams he landed with. He will have an effect vs South Beach if they meet in the playoffs.
What the is it with peoples delusions that okc is a threat lol.. they have a stud with durant, a good pg with westbrook but honestly they need some low post scoring and a better bench. A healthy houston and portland team would have there way with them.. a injury riddled portland team last year took 3 out of 4 meeting without half there roster and even had the better record lol
Lakers
Mavs
Blazers
Spurs
Nuggets
Jazz
Thunder

Speaking of the clippers, does Blake win ROY?
