The site of the American CNN Sports Illustrated developed a relationship with the 12 most exciting players who will work in the world basketball championships to be held in Turkey from August 28 . Tiago Splitter was fourth in the ranking , being the sole representative of Brazil.
In front of James were the only young sensation Ricky Rubio , Spain , Argentina's Luis Scola and American Kevin Durant.
The good performance in recent seasons of European basketball , playing for Caja Laboral , accredited Splitter as one of the highlights of the sport worldwide.
The Brazilian's arrival to the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs, caused an uproar , including fans of the franchise by making a special website for the Brazilian.
Still in pre- World , the official website of the ACB ( Spanish League basketball ) is holding a Fantasy Game and Splitter , who made a lot of success there, was the player most purchased by all fans attending the game.

Does anyone remember the name of that website they made for Splitter?
Hope I'm wrong but I think Splitter will disapoint a lot of people, at least those who expect him to be a future all-star.
google translation? spurstalk is better than this.![]()
Someone needs to photoshop this with Splitter's face
Pronto !
lebron thread!!!!!!!!11
James White!
Nice site!
That's great how they photoshopped Tiago's face on Bowen's body.
I agree.
Meh, took me a few seconds

They also have Nando de Colo at 7th who the Spurs drafted in 2009 and blast from the past Robertas Javtokas at 9th
are you kidding me?, the dude plays with heart and isnt a biatch down low in the post, loves tim duncan studied his exact footwork loves to play defense on centers and power forwards and increases his effort as challenges arise and does whatever it takes to make his team win in no way is this man anything like weve had at center, im not saying hes going to be anything like tim duncan but im saying a hardworker like ginobili in the paint who is loyal to his team
edit* post D ROB era!
I just don't think he's all-star material.
Far cry from suggesting he's going to be a disappointment, though. Kind of an odd way to have phrased the sentiment, to be honest. Are some folks possibly expecting too much of him? Possibly, though I haven't seen many people around here suggesting that he's going to be Dwight Howard. If he can be close to Rasho Nesterovic on the defensive end the Spurs suddenly become much harder to score on, and we're all pretty confident that he's going to get some points in the NBA.
yeah i dont think allstar material right away, but this is one of those guys thats improved every year of play consistently which is awesome for a big man, he was just supposed to be some ordinary role player and then the spurs draft karma kicked in and this guy started accelerating, just think of it this way luis scola entered the nba the same age and as he came in he had a very impressive resume, however tiago coming in at the same age has a more impressive resume than scola and its not cause he rode his teams superstars all the way.
Tiago was more of the captain than scola if you compare. tiago to me is at least as compe ive and persistent or even more than scola . Tiago was the guy in pretty much the entire game during his season lol seriously they overplayed tiago alot! and he anchored that team i saw one game without him and boy did they look terrible, he does all those little things at the right time, to keep them there in the mix just like manu does for us, now i dont know if its going to take shape right away but i do know with tiagos personality he will never turn into that low self confidence coward, thats how i know succeed ! the way you know gino will whatever team he plays on but esp. a team he really respects.
p.s tiago does have a weakness that is identical to tim duncan he must have picked up his mind f$%K .. so yeah hes got all the bad timmy qualities too hhaa
Splitter can play and he certainly does not have to be an all-star to make significant contributions. If he is good enough to be a starter or slightly better than Rasho and Oberto I think everyone should be happy with that. He was not even drafted in the lottery. I don't completely rule out that he eventually could make it to the all-star team as backup C simply because that position is so weak compared to the other. positions.
Splitter will average 10.6ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2bpg this upcoming season.
If he manages that... as probably a 5th option.. you could grade him an A. I think he will get close to that.. but what he brings on the defensive end will outweigh his stats IMO.
the only thing we are certain here is splitter will have a better nba career then greg oden
Can't wait to see Splitter in silver and black.
