Theres a thread like this every year and every year the same results happen. He gets hurt early and sits out for the rest of the year.
Lasty year he got hurt in the postseason D.bag.
Last year he didn't play. Two years ago. He made it that far and he had it carry-over into missing an entire season.
I hope he plays again

the first thing this needs to work out is the courage to tell us the truth that he will never come back to play again. I think the time will come when the Rockets have paid him the last bill worth 18 million dollars. if he retires now he will have to relinquish the last 18 dollars, which is the obvious reason why he has to delay it by a year.
I think it doesn't hurt even if he tells us the truth that he won't play any more basketball. officially he would still be an active basketball player even after he told press the truth. IMHO a player is free to announce whatever he wants to say about his career and whatever he says doesn't have any official effect, unless the announcement is official.
the just chooses to be a pussy as he's supposed to do. even as everyone knows the truth he's still trying the got's best to delude the media & fans.

Actually he's right about one year. He was in last year's playoffs when he got injured (2009), so he's only missed the one year. He would have to be out until next May for it to be two.

He looks like his offense is still good, but he still looks like a dumb ogre on defense
On defense all he has to do is stand up straight at the rim and it makes the entire team a LOT better defensively.
