Fairly diplomatic answers by Kobe on LeBron and Shaq. Would have enjoyed it more if there were some more (even subtle) jabs at both LeBron and Shaq.

He's always been very smart with the words he chooses. Well at least for the past 6 or 7 years. I'm assuming he grew up and learned how to play it safe with the media. He probably said a lot of arrogant crap when he was younger.

Smart play by Kobe. No need to put more wood on the fire.

However I am sure both Miami and Boston moves provide him with plenty of motivation for this season.

Saying he's as stubborn as a mule and that LeBron is different from him is a slight jab maybe?

But even with that you have to twist it and think like a hater to see that as a knock on LeBron.

Besides that you're right. Nothing he said made our eyes pop.

This just shows how much Kobe has evolved on the mental aspect of the game. By showing respect for his enemies he forces them to lower their guard, all while keeping the killer instinct alive within himself. This is why he's become the most successful player of all time.

He already humiliated Daddy in the immediate aftermath Championship Night.

    LeBron? He's O & Lifetime.

The fact that Rome still exists is baffling to me. I thought we were done with him when Jim Everett slapped him around. Is there a hackier more annoying sports related person out there?

That Everett thing just lit his candle.

And Rome was wise enough to realize it and take advantage.

    Cowherd is much, much worse.

When it comes to radio I like Cowherd way more than Rome.

On TV I think Rome has an advantage because his show isn't all stupid and cartoony and Beadled out like Sportsnation is. Still, I lol everytime I hear Rome's ass say, "I'm Jim Rome and I am out!"

I'm no Kobe fan, by any stretch, but I can surely appreciate his accomplishments. In fact, after heaving up my breakfast having to endure the "summer of LeBrick", Kobe comes off looking pretty good, after his 5th championship.

Kobe's got bragging rights and ring rights over all those other supposed NBA superstar busters. A flash of the smile and a flash of the rings is all it takes.

I hope Kevin Durant is the next in line for championship success.

I was with you up until that last sentence.
