People and moan about the Scola trade. Why when we have DB? he brings as much heart, rebounding, scoring and even some nice passing. I'd take Blair everyday of the week. We saw Blair dominate 3 games last year with 20-20 games. How many times has Scola done that? This year the Spurs need to give Blair the ball and gtfo his way.Thoughts?

Scola is the best PF in olympic history.

If he owns team USA next game this site will disintegrate.

We didn't have Blair in 2008 when this team had a puncher's chance at a le even with Manu at 20%. I could care less about having Scola now when the Spurs window is firmly shut.

No way. Right now Scola > Blair. I like Blair but I'd trade him for Scola in a heartbeat. And I'd throw in Bonner.

I wouldn't trade a 21 year old Blair for a 30 year old Scola. Scola has maybe 2 years at this level at the most while Blair has so much room for improvement still.

The guy takes advantage of his skillset not athleticism. He should be fine for the next 2-4 years IMHO.

I agree you're giving up something in the future but Scola significanlty increases the chances for TD to win another le before he retires. You could make the case that Scola would make us favorites in the West.

Scola and Blair are different types of bigmen who both hustle and work hard. as Blair develops his defence timing and passing I like Blair alot in the future, though honestly I want to see him improve on those things from last year to this before I predict his ceiling some guys just never develop in their time in the NBA. Scola is better today but Blair is more explosive and potentially able to do everything Scola does.

The timing for Scola in Duncans would have been better for the Spurs than either Splitter, or Blair and there lies the problem. The buy-out issues, and Scola's negotiation advisors at the time saw Duncan as a powerforward though and decided that there wasn't room behind Duncan on the PF roster for Scola.

Scola would have been a great fit with the Spurs. He's gone and I'm happy to see him play in the NBA. Get over it.

Wow what Eisfeld said was great for a change good job dude. Anyways Scola's agent wasn't going to have him on the spurs because he thought he wouldn't get playing time behind Duncan. It was dumb but very true.

Scola can go a week's worth of games with out blocking a single shot, and has a career average of 0.2 BPG in 30 minutes of game play. We already have a PF like that and his name is Bonner. Luis is one of the best offensive bigs in the game, and he can take a charge, but his defense (or length and agility) leaves something to be desired, IMHO. Hopefully Splitter can clog the paint more than that, it's what we need. And Blair, while shorter, is athletic and strong enough to be an OK shot blocker (he's blocked more in his first season, than Scola's first two seasons combined).

Cannot wait to watch Yao/Miller in the post. Scola/Hill/Hayes @ Power Forward. Budinger/Battier at Small Foward and a bevy of quick sharp shooting guards at our disposal.

Scola/Yao/Battier should be the starters in our front court backed up by Hill/Miller/Budinger..that should be pretty good front line right there.

Now if we can somehow get Melo. Hard to see how we put him. He actually is kind of hard to fine minutes for if we keep Scola or Scola would end up losing major minutes.

Sad to see how excited rocket fans can get only to be let down once again by the big china man and his inability to stay healthy. Once he goes down, the season goes down and its bound to happen. its inevitable. Saying that, props to Morey. He's put together a nice squad who just might be able to secure an 8 seed this season. You guys are back!!!
