The spurs played simmons for the last time. Hes done
It now comes down to Gee, Simmons and Temple.
But I think they'll hang on to Temple and Pop loves him his vets so Gee will be the one to get the cut....

The Spurs could cut Simmons and Gee and sign a prospect/jettisoned vet to cover roster quotas. Simmons has been poor this preseason. My guess is that he'll survive. But I think the Spurs would be better off letting Gee fall to the Toros and Simmons walk.
I think Gee will ultimately get cut, but he'll hang around until his guarantee date, November 20-something, IIRC. No point in cutting him earlier.

Maybe Gee is being kept around for a trade filler purpose...
I don't understand if both are still in the roster just in case nobody better is cut from other teams before the start of the season...the signing (and sudden cut) of Palmer makes think thgis way...
A lot of players with good skills for what we need have already beeen cut from their team...see, for example, Robinson (Magic) or Green (Cavs)...both, potentially, very intersting for the limites role of defensive sf that our team need (Robinson also for the small ball 4).
Gee should stay and be assigned to the Toros and simmons can walk. There has to be somebody,almost anybody with a better skill set than simmons.
i was shocked last night to see simmons!! what i saw was mcdyess moving faster than simmons!! i mean this guy plays like hes 35 years old!???? whats wrong with his legs? its really bazaar and almost unnatural for an athlete such as simmons to be moving this way, i mean yao's feet/ankles look more fluid than simmons. i was really pulling for this guy but i was wrong

Best I can surmise, #spurs holding on to Gee long as possible, see if they can get anything at all for him in trade, before waiving him.
Gee ... only if he stays with the Toros.
Spurs likely are still looking for that backup SF.

After waiving Cousins, we are @ 14, so my gut says that this is the team. I see Gee being used as a trade chip &/or Toro's bound.
