Good luck to him. He should be fine. Those surgeries are almost routine these days.
He's having an emergency quadruple bypass this morning. He's a good man who takes care of a lot of people in his life.

You all are in my thoughts
edit: tlongII is absolutely right----my father had that done 15 years ago, also emergently, and it was smooth sailing; you can't even imagine the advances that have been made in that area since back then!
what sort of operation is that?
and yes not m uch you can do, just leave it to the surgeons and doctors
mojo on the way!
Thoughts sent.
This. Although it's quite sad that these surgeries are routine now.
He'll pull through!
Positive vibes in your uncle's directions, hope he gets well soon!
your uncle will be fine. dont sweat it. My mom had a quintuple bypass surgery in late june. i just about flipped when i heard 5 bypasses??? i coudnt believe what they were telling me. she was on a breathing tube, draining tubes from her chest to alleviate swelling and infection. etc for a few days after and was rather out of it.
After those first 3-4 days post surgery... your family's will want to monitor his wounds closely to prevent infection by having them cleaned and dressed a couple times a day.
He'll have the option to rehab at home or at a rehab care center. He'll have to take it real easy for about a month or so . My mom has slowly has gotten her health back over the last 3-4 months. Says she feels she got a new lease on life be happy you caught his condition and you are going to get to have him around for at least another 10yrs god willing.
Hope all is well, thoughts heading your way. Keep strong.
