It's a short drive away from San Antonio, a few hours away from Dallas, so I figured I would post it here..

For all you wheelchair basketball players, come out, have a good time, it should be fun..

San Marcos — The Annual Texas Classic Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will take place Saturday Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tournament will be in gyms 101 and 102 of the Texas State University Jowers Center . This event is free and open to the public.

This is a great opportunity to cheer on the local team, the Austin Rec’ers, as they fight seven other teams for first place. It also serves as an opportunity to learn more about the world of adaptive sports.

The Texas Classic Tournament is hosted by the Austin Rec’ers with help from the Adaptive Sports Club of Texas State (ASCOTS) — Texas State University student organization dedicated to raising awareness and promoting inclusion for people with all levels of abilities. For more information on the Texas Classic Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, please contact Tori Riddles, ASCOTS President and Texas State therapeutic recreation junior, at [email protected] or 787-6466.
