The two most-proclaimed challengers to the Lakers' throne during the off-season battle tonight.

Blazers by 10. Or probably more.

I am not down yet on OKC ...but i did not expect #2 in West nor MVP for durant. Though if i had to bet, I would bet on Durant 4 MVP way before I would of thrown even $5 on the Thunder finishing that high. they finished 8th in the West and choked their chance to move up in the last 5 games. Yes, they plyed us tough for a while ...but everyone that was projecting an 8 to 2nd run in one off season with the same EXACT roster almost is pretty dense.

Durant is the newest NBA star but these so-called contenders are propped up every year based on some type of playoff success and it never comes to fruition. The hornets was the "it" team in 2008 and have not won a series since. Denver was last years and got rolled out of the playoffs by the Jazz whom the lakers swept. This year it's OKC and they will lose in the first round to the spurs, Mavs or Hornets ...

The playoffs are dominated by veteran teams not young teams with almost no playoff experience ...

Batum is Duran't doppleganger. Expect that to be a key matchup should these teams ever face each other in the playoffs.

Shouldnt matter. if he is as good as I think he is, he will find a way to score and win.

Batums ability to play defense and the emergence of Anderson and Neal he sure looks like he would be the perfect fit here if we could have gotten him over Hill, although I do love George.
