Imagine what he would have been paid if he was in good enough shape to run a 2 minute drill.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ear-extension/ESPN’s Michael Smith reports that the Redskins have signed McNabb to a five-year, $78 million extension with a reported $40 million guaranteed. Yep, the organization just doubled down on McNabb two weeks removed from benching him for Rex Grossman.
Imagine what he would have been paid if he was in good enough shape to run a 2 minute drill.
Damn you, midge.
That's a lot of cash for a guy who's been nothing but average at best this year.
Redskins are ed up. The coach obviously doesn't believe in the aging QB in crunch time and that coach is not going anywhere so why sign the guy to 40 mil gurantee. Makes no sense to me.
McNabb isnt worth the money. The dude is clearly on the decline, and is not in the good graces of his coach...and yet they gave him an extension...weird.
lol this contract is BAD.
Typical Snyder...Now other agents will look to his exorbitant contract as the basis for their clients' deals...everybody loses
LOL, said it before... Even the Cowboys at 2-7 are in better shape than the Redskins
Is McNabb still a top 20 QB?..
What the ??!?!?! I have no idea what is going on.
So the 2 minute benching is a ploy from the redskins to lower the price of mcnabb????
the Skins! I wanted mcnabb to go to AZ next year!
Some where saying its only 10 mil guaranteed. If thats the case then its fine.
Great for a laugh.
LOL, me neither, like everybody else. Nothing about the Redskins makes sense. I'm not saying signing Mcnabb was a bad move, but that much money and also for that many years.... holy .
at T.O.'s jealousy
TO he's not worth any investment from any team because he can't stay on the same roster for more than 2 years.
I am curious to see what the Eagles go with Vick.
I really hope they sign his ass for 3 years...can't let that dude get away.
Only $3.5 million guaranteed.
Very, very weird. Another classic Synder move.
If 3.5 is all thats guaranteed then its completely fine, IMO.
I wouldn't have much of a problem with this move if they didn't bench Mcnabb a few weeks ago. Of course the money was too much, but the Redskins should at least have coinfidence in him instead of benching him. Making him relive his moment in Philly is not a good sign for him.
