Just wondering if anyone thinks Manu has a chance to be voted in by the coaches as an all-star this season. Barring injury, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant will probably be the starting guards. So assuming they go with 2 or 3 more guards, who gets the nod, TP, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Brandon Roy, Manu?

I think if he keeps close to his current numbers and the Spurs have one of the top records going into the break, Manu’s chance is as good as anyone. Who knows, maybe both TP and Manu are selected by the coaches.

You're probably right, but then again, Duncan might get a GOAT pass to the game. Also, the opposing coaches will probably vote him in to just add a few extra miles to those old wheels.

Manu will never get another All Star invite. The weird thing is looking back that year that he made it wasn't even his best season (excluding the playoffs). He's just way too inconsistant.

If Pop keeps him in the starting line-up and Manu continues to be (like it seems to be now) the focal point of the offense then he has a pretty good chance, imo. Bryant and CP3 are locks, Deron might get in too, Phoenix is too mediocre now for Nash to get in and Roy seems like he will have a tough season ahead of him because of injuries.

I'm sorry you haven't ever been able to enjoy watching Manu play. You're missing out.

22 pts on 9 shot attempts, all-star worthy imo.

I don't have any numbers to support this, but in the big 3 era, considering all the wins and les, the Spurs have to have one of the lowest percentage of all-star appearances. I know TDs been there every year, but TP only 3 and Manu 1.

I doubt if Jefferson will get in. Not that Jefferson isn't playing great, but the forward position IMO is a lot deeper - Durant, Melo, Dirk, Gasol, TD to name a few. With the game in LA, Griffin and Odom will probably be given even more consideration. Scola's having a great year, add in the Yao effect, and he might even get a spot.

I really don't care if some of our players will play in the all-star game. For me that game is boring. They should do what they did in the NHL, so the captains can pick their teammates.
And it would be stupid if the Spurs would be playing really good, and no one makes that roster.
