Wrong to name kid after Spurs?

would it be totally wrong ot name your kid after your fav. Spurs player??

I'm not seriously considering it, but the thoguht has been mentioned more than once around here....
JFYI- i'm knocked up with #2. I was named after the family dog and my Husband was named after a character on a novella so it's not like names are real sacred in our families!

God, no. It's a name both of us actually liked, just for different reasons. Of course, she was still mad at me when I told her why I liked that name (after our son was born), but for less than 10 minutes.

On that "25 years of ESPN" special last year...they found 7 kids named for some form of ESPN...even a little girl named Espyn. Of those 7 kids....5 were from Texas. ugh.
