ThriXXX Demoes First Kinect Sex Game

As stated in our earlier report, the first Kinect sex game is well near its completion. An Austrian games company ThriXXX (this link is NSFW) has released ayoutube video showing a working demo of its sex game controlled via Kinect.

Not wanting to be associated with this creative application of the Kinect, Microsoft quickly issued an official statement disassociating itself from the porn game and even going so far as shooting down any hope of an Xbox 360 version of this game.

"This isn't the first example of a technology being used in ways not intended by its manufacturer, and it won't be the last. Microsoft did not authorize or license its technology for this use. Xbox is a family friendly games and entertainment console and does not allow Adults Only (AO) content to be certified for use on its platform, and would not condone this type of game for Kinect," the statement reads.


Well, ThriXXX doesn' t care whether or not it has Microsoft certification for the game; it uses LibFreeNect, which is the hacked open source driver for Kinect in Windows 7. And it may also find a way to release the game on the Xbox 360. ThriXXX has been currently able to enable the use of hands to interact with the game s digital models, but the company boasts that it will soon bring full body gestures (if you know what they mean) and voice commands in a later release.
