2K Games Announces New DLC Adventure for Borderlands
The team at Gearbox Software is taking fans back to Pandora for an all-new Borderlands DLC adventure. The studio and publisher 2K Games announced today Claptrap's New Robot Revolution will be available for download this September.
The fourth DLC installment for the surprise sci-fi FPS smash puts players in the middle of a civil war between Hyperion Corporation's armadas and an army of homicidal Claptraps led by das ly kung-fu expert Ninja Assassin.
"A year ago Borderlands was an untested brand that through hard work and a lot of passion, turned out to be one of the best-selling, claptastic and skagtacular games we have ever created," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "A year later, we are releasing our fourth DLC installment, Claptrap's New Robot Revolution, which illustrates our enthusiasm for creating highly entertaining content that enhances a franchise. In addition to serving as the perfect bookend to the original game, what gamer doesn't love a kung-fu-wielding Ninja Assassin Claptrap with nunchuck skills?"
A Claptrap rundown from 2K:
Claptrap's New Robot Revolution will provide more than 20 new missions to loot and tons of fresh enemies to blast through, including original boss battles, waves of homicidal Claptraps, well-armed Hyperion soldiers, and local creatures that have been Claptrap-ified -- including crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps. Fans can earn an additional 10 skill points for a total of 71 available skill tree points, and three more backpack slots for additional blood-yielding weapons and many hours of enjoyment.
Claptrap's New Robot Revolution will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Windows Live this September for 800 MS Points/$9.99.
Still haven't picked up Borderlands.
Wait for a game of the year edition. Though, the first two DLC's are worthless.
Meh... I hate DLCs... They're like 1/4 of an actual game.
I wish they would just do a full blown Borderlands II.
The original game was pretty good.
You usually get more out of your dollar with DLC. But not with Borderlands. The DLC has been mediocre at best. But games like Fallout, you can make a case for the 60 dollars of DLC possibly being better than the game.
Did what IM said and FINALLY got the GOY edition. Looking forward to starting up some Coop with friends tonight.
EDIT: Nevermind... I didn't notice it was a bump of an old post
