I thought your side was all about speaking out ...First Amendment rights!
...at the right person.
Signatures Being Collected to Officially Recall Dupnik
I thought your side was all about speaking out ...First Amendment rights!
"irresponsible" comments and "shameless political grandstanding"
Are they talking about Brewer? Angle?
I'm sure you have a point.
If, by that, you mean Dupnik's First Amendment rights are being abridged by a recall. No. He had the cons utional right to speak out. That doesn't make it prudent or without consequences. Particularly when he used that right to inflame and already volatile situation and libel an entire group of people.
He can keep talking but, hopefully, he'll be doing it as someone other than the Sheriff of Pima County.
I wonder if they are going to take 2nd amendment remedies if the recall fails.
Yet you have no problem with Fox News or talk radio doing exactly the same thing... you are a hypocrite
Who have they libeled and how did they inflame an already volatile situation?
And, you can recall them by not watching or listening. Ratings are their ballots.
I think Sharon Angle said that one time and Chris Matthews d it for damn near a week.
Did anyone ask her what she meant?
And, "2nd amendment remedy," first and foremost, sounds like a cons utional remedy so, whatever she had in mind would have to have been legal and cons utional for it to have been a "2nd amendment remedy."
I don't advocate violence and certainly don't think it's called for in this situation. A recall will suffice.
killing spree....take 2?
Kuhner: Obama's Speech "Was A Surreal Spectacle In Narcissistic Self-Congratulation"
Kuhner: Obama's Memorial Address "Was A Surreal Spectacle In Narcissistic Self-Congratulation" That "Dishonored The Victims." In a January 13 Washington Times op-ed led, "Obama's Tucson degradation," Jeffrey Kuhner wrote that Obama is "cynically exploiting the tragic shooting in Tucson for political gain" and that his memorial address "was a surreal spectacle in narcissistic self-congratulation" that "dishonored the victims" of the shootings. From Kuhner's op-ed:
President Obama is cynically exploiting the tragic shooting in Tucson for political gain. His memorial address Wednesday night was a surreal spectacle in narcissistic self-congratulation. It dishonored the victims, those who were murdered and maimed by Jared Lee Loughner, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Arizona Democrat.
Instead of being a solemn and serious event, the memorial resembled a pro-Obama pep rally. The president of Arizona University praised Mr. Obama for his "visionary" and "courageous" leadership. Throughout the memorial and Mr. Obama's speech, students regularly cheered, clapped, whistled and hollered. All the while, the president basked in his newfound glory. The address rekindled some of the magic - the euphoria, the soaring rhetoric - of the 2008 campaign. Mr. Obama lectured Americans about the need for "civility" in our national discourse. He even invoked the memory of a slain 9-year-old girl, Christina Green, urging America to use the tragedy to create a more decent, united and harmonious republic and thereby "live up to her expectations." [The Washington Times, 1/13/11]
There is plenty moreKnight Calls Memorial Service A "Campaign Event," Attacks Obama Over Comments About 9-Year-Old Victim
Knight: Memorial Service The "First Major Campaign Event Of The 2012 Presidential Election." In a January 18 Washington Times op-ed, Robert Knight called the Tucson memorial service the "first major campaign event of the 2012 presidential election" and asked, "When, for instance, have you been to a memorial service where cheers and yells punctuated the eulogy and where political campaign T-shirts were draped over seats or given out to mourners at the door?" [The Washington Times, 1/18/11]
If you started with your best, you should probably quit.
I don't agree with the characterizations but, considering the "rally" atmosphere created by the event's organizers, I think those are understandable characterizations that someone could reach.
Not libels and, I'm not sure how they inflamed the situation. Please explain.
So the right does it as well..which happens to be my original statement. You just proved me right again yoni..
by the way these were the first 2 stories that I found..there were 5 more pages. I'd be glad to continue to argue your statement was factually incorrect.
He uses a Jump to Conclusions Mat to solve crimes.
Not agreeing with the characterization doesn't make it libel and I still don't know that it inflamed anything.
Sure, carry on. I think your assertion is full of . One would think you would know the libels and not have to google but, go ahead, let's continue...
fake christians want to kill another messenger. nice find, yoni.
Politicizing the shooting right after it happened was very unprofessional for a man in his position imo.
his position allows him to be privy to information we'll never know.
now the fake christians are out to kill him.
"Politicizing the shooting right after it happened was very unprofessional for a man in his position imo."
If he had blamed socialists and communists and Dems and Nancy Pelosi, you would have stood up and applauded.
No doubt. I hear he also prevented the Next Great Depression.
i'm not surprised you think that.
he manufactured his information. try to keep up.
He's a POLITICALLY elected official, aka, a politician, he can say whatever he wants.
Do you have any condemnation for your buddy Scalia showing up and speaking to profoundly, exclusively right-wing/Repug audiences?
