Confusing thread but technically Duncan and Garnett qualify. Both were NBA champions, 1999, 2008, and missed the playoffs the following season due to injury. Their teams made it though. I don't see how Kobe gets on the list. He was champ in 2002 and made the playoffs two more years before missing. Shaq and Wade both missed the playoffs after Kobe. The latter three were all former NBA champions when they missed the postseason.
