Skullcandy...
im getting a white studio one for $160. how good are these headphones?
I was looking at the QC15s myself. Bad review? I fly so much that I need something more than the Ipod headset to drown out the yappers at 6am.
Blair who is that in your picture ing garnett? Is it Terry, Z-bo, or that lil that plays for the Cavs?
you have to buy the helmet to get the full effect
I would be very hesitant to recommend Bose or Beats. Bose are very comfortable headphones but offer middling sound quality, and are really overpriced. Skullcandies are horrible (all bloated bass, no detail in the mids/highs). Beats are fine if you are ONLY listening to rap/hip hop, every other genre is going to be fairly lacking in them.
What genres do you listen to, OP? What is your budget?
Anthony Peeler. I think it was from the 04 second round.
Overrated. Cheap plastic. They got overhyped bu the Dre endorsement...
Overpowered basses and crappy highs. A no go for me, only acceptable for hip hop and RnB.
If you do have eclectic tastes you should go for a brand like shure (who mainly makes money on the pro market) with the likes of the SHR840, SHR440... Or Seinheiser or whatever. Just pick a serious brand....
Actually Shure's are very good, but even they have rolled off highs with a lot of their models, and they mainly make IEMs.
Sennheisers are very solid, but again it depends on what you listen to. I would recommend them less if you're going to be listening to rock or something with a lot of guitar/mids. The mid-higher end Senn's tend to have relaxed mids, although it's highly dependent on which model you buy.
I had the Beats Studio and they are terrible quality. I had a replacement plan at best buy and took them back to swap them out four times. The plastic or screws always break. The sound quality was great though. After taking it back for the 4rth time I told best buy these and got store credit back.
on Sennheisers. All I use for my DJing and production.
The Beats Pro are actually really good headphones though. Excellent build quality and unbelievable sound. They are an extra $100 though. And they arent as comfortable as the Bose.
get some Grados. beats anything on the market, but i cannot afford it. i work in broadcast and i personally use Sony MDR-7509's. has longevity, great neutral sound with a very wide frequency range. kinda painful to use for extended periods.
at people saying Bose. The wonders of marketing.
"No highs or lows? Must be Bose!"![]()

Bose is crap. even a cheap china made Eacan can sound like bose. I have an Eacan on my home computer and it slaps my friend's Bose.
