I like the Brooks deal alot, feel like they could have done better with Battier, but , we are stuck with NO center, gotta take a swing at it i guess

EDIT: Rockets also gave up Ishmael Smith and received Demarre Carroll.

Brooks is decent, but I wouldn't really want to build around him as a legit starter. Battier is getting up there in age, might as well get something now.
Two first rounders, Dragic and Thabeet is sweet. Some youth and a chance to find some hidden gems in the draft.
Thabeet is a scrub, but Dragic + 2 First round picks is pretty good.
Roster churn, Morey had to settle for deals instead of getting something he really wanted.
The picks are all at the end of the first round which are usually for sale and pretty worthless anyway....arguably a high 2nd rounder is more valuable these days.
The only redeeming part would be if Thabeet pans out....so at best a "C" but really more like a "D"

They were going to lose Battier for nothing anyways, and beggars can't be choosers.
I gave it a B. Nothing blockbuster there but Battier's on the way down, they're aren't losing a whole lot shipping him out. Thabeet's a stiff but he's a tall stiff who's only in his second year. Sometimes guys benefit from a change of scenery. Also this will give me a chance to possibly see him in the city, point, laugh, and say, "lol Blair!"
Brooks for Dragic is probably a wash talent wise, but Brooks was a malcontent and if your team lacks talent then chemistry's all you got. No room for pouters. I hate to sound like a GNSF overvaluing a guy who does well against the Spurs, but if the guy was good enough to be a DOK troll then he's got to have the goods, right?
On top of that they get a couple of potential lottery picks.
I thought every option was going to be F.
F - Dragic is awful, also Thabeet. 2 picks with weakest draft in years coming.
I give them a B. A for the absolute fleecing of the Suns and D for the lame trade with the Grizzlies.
