Can Tony Allen guard Kobe well enough for Memphis to make it to the finals? An do you think the Gizz really stand a chance in the finals if they can beat LA?

They won't beat LA. Our farm team wouldn't be so bold...

Jermaine, I think T. Allen was that one player who gave Kobe problems in 2008, but Doc didn't give him enough minutes. IIRC, most Boston fans last year hated the fact that Allen wasn't playing for them anymore, I think he'd be a difference maker. Also Kobe tends to have issues with guys who play him very physical and Allen doesn't back down from nobody, he's going to give Kobe problems thats for sure.

The Grizzlies were the NBA's top post scoring team. Getting Battier makes the Grizzlies a far better team because he makes everyone better and he gives them an extra lockdown defender. Now the Grizzlies will continue to be a top post scoring team but with the addition of being able to increase their point differential because of defense. They have all the elements of being able to take it all. Great wings, good outside shooting, the top post scoring team in the NBA and very tough defense.

TBH the Lakers would struggle to score against the Giz. Giz have answers for all of the offensive weapons of the Lakers, to win LA will have to play great team ball. If Kobe tries to do it all by himself they would lose.
