    Bird is still the best SF ever with a lot of difference. 3 consecutive MVP's, 3 consecutive all-star 3pt shotouts, two 50-40-90 seasons, 3 championships, 24.3 ppg / 10 rpg / 6.3 apg / 1.7 spg / 0.8 bpg career stats, career FG% 0.496, 3P% 0.376, FT% 0.886. 9 consecutive all-nba first teams, since the rookie season. He even made 3 all-defensive second teams.

It was a surprise when Bird said LeBron is the best ever, because LeBron's stats aren't better and he will never shot as Bird.

    I'm not comparing both players
Bird s on Lebron anytime of the day though

Other left-handed players: Payton and T-Mac

    It was an unrelated comment.

BTW, Gasol is left-handed too. He was trained to shot with both hands at early age and eventually became nearly ambidextrous.

It's not a big deal. Most people who write left-handed are still right hand dominate in everything else. It's true we are a far superior breed of human, but we still choose to conform to the rest of society.

I think lebron couldve won 3 consecutive mvps, we all know who is the real mvp this season, but 3+ consecutive mvps is hard to match man, you must be doing something right or play in the era where tv made you something you are not, ala jordan = 5-6 mvps right? didnt seem like he did anything spectacular each season to differentiate from the previous season to be awarded another mvp...untill they got bored and gave one to hakeem, barkley and malone...

atm lebron only is posting up numbers in volumes which can put you in the discussion with the greats, but you need individual/team accolades to even make it a winning argument...

lookin back i think td couldve won 3 consecutive mvps especially in 03/04 when the spurs only finish 1 game behind the wolves in team win/loss, but duncan did miss a few games that season and still posting up mvp numbers...i dont think he even finish top3 mvp votes that year...

I think LeBron is actually ambidextrous. Just another part of his off-the-charts physical talent.

Magic got in the direct way of Bird's career & legacy. The Celtics figured after '84 they'd destroyed Johnson like they'd destroyed West, Wilt, et al in the past. That was their aim in the '84 Finals. To defeat, to demoralize him in such a way that they would never have to deal with him again in a crisis compe ion.

    Uh, uh.

Yeah, I remember reading some article about LeBron that said that he does different things with different hands. He writes and stuff with his left, but he shoots with his right. Apparently one time he was practicing jump shots with both hands and he did better with the right, so he stuck with it.

Well, Boston was fortunate to win that series. To this day most of the Celtics admit L.A. had a better team.

Yeah, but when you think that Bird played with a bad since the summer of 1985
Most people think his back problems started in the late 80's / early 90's, but he really injured it badly in 85

And yet he kept playing at very high level
