I suspect they are just tryng to pass whoever they can, I am sure they gave up on first in the west. However, don't be like history2b and get overconfident. I do believe LA got their first 3pete last decade not having HCA in the WCF in 2001 and 2002. Even Jordan won some finals without HCA so it's not new to Phil.
Naturally, fans should say their team is going to win, but this is going to be a war. Anyone could end up hoisting the LOB in June.

We lost that goal a good while back. The second overall seed is still very much within the margin of error. To get there would be very impressive (A) and would shake a few team's confidence upon delivery (B).

1. Second seed
2. Play with a sizable momentum heading into the playoffs
There's a week long stretch (3/6-14) in March that'll decide if LA can even sniff the 2nd Seed. Either way, they'll have to make it through the Mavs in the 2nd round. It's not getting any easier for your side.
