The question is will he play well or be limited in his aggressiveness and impact the game negatively. This could be a game the Spurs lose if manu is on the court playing tenatively and poorly. No way of knowing how manu will respond so game 1 is a tough call.
I kind of want Manu to sit this one out and have Spurs beat Memphis anyway.
That would get the "Spurs cant win without Manu" people to shut the up.
