If you believe in signs, and stuff...
- Last time Pop coach in the ASG : 2005
- Last time Manu went to the ASG: 2005
- Last time Duncan sprained his ankle that badly in the regular season: March 20, 2005
2005 =

I remember that year...TD went to the hospital I worked Monday to Friday to have hyperbaric treatments...we had to schedule our patients in the morning so he can be by himself in the afternon...the treatment speed up the healing....
Referring to hair or talent?
I was thinking about this last night... to those observations I would add:
- The usual "it's an odd numbered year."
- In 2005 the Spurs had HCA throughout the playoffs.
- And then the structure found the perfect symmetry between two NBA Lockout seasons (we all know it's coming)...
1998 LockOut 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011? LockOut 2012
- Sandwiching a Laker B2B Championship (minimum) on both ends of that symmetry above...
And precisely why I didn't start a thread about it...![]()
He had the bald spot then, though... so I think we're covered.

I'm sure we had multiple "jinxy ass posts" in 2005 as well. We're good.

In 2005, we didnt have HCA throughout the playoffs
Phoenix did![]()
Very spooky! I was thinking just that same thing, that Tim sprained his ankle in 2005. Didn't know it was almost to the day...

1997 1998 LockOut 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011? LockOut 2012 2013
#1-pick![]()
Manu isn't even as close to as dominate as he used to be to make up for Timmy. The good thing is we still have a lot of talent to produce and Tony has been a monster so maybe we can fill that in with those other guys.
Yes he is. He's not as athletic, he's just as good, and a better overall game.
More possible jinx but a stat a Laker fan doesn't want to read: None of Phil Jackson's championship teams lost more than four consecutive games which this Lakers squad has done already.![]()
Just hope the symmetry center is not 2005 or we are going for 30+ years without le after 2011
And how nice that it's looking like Splitter will get critical playing time to be able to critically contribute in the playoffs. Be glad that the Spurs didn't choke games earlier to the Minnesotas and Sacramentos.
