What struck me about Pop's comments was the way he avoided answering the question about how the Spurs are always so flat coming out for the third quarter. He normally brushes it off saying something like "they are professionals...they are grown men...they know what they have to do...etc.etc.etc).

Fact is, almost every other team in the league comes out of the half-time more psyched than the spurs do.

Pop doesn't seem to accept that regardless of the parental status of these guys, the fact is that they are young men in need of leadership. He was in the military. Do you think the commanders in the field just say " I don't need to tell these anything...they are all grown"?
