Jimcs50 jinx!
Do we want to play Boston with HCA, or do we want to play Chicago without HCA?
I have been wondering which would be best.
CHI - less experienced. I'd rather hang my hopes on trying to contain Rose than dealing with all the weapons BOS has. BOS shoots too well and is too championship-experienced.
We want to play Atlanta with HCA tbh...
The very idea of beating the Lakers in the WCF makes me so goddamn giddy that I dare not think of the LOB lest my head explode.
Spurs have < 10% chance of reaching the Finals. And the Bulls even less. Why bother thinking about this?

OMG, it's finally happened. Splitter is coming to the Spurs!
Ha ha. The NBA championship is our again!
Hey, they just resigned Matt Bonner for a load of money.
Bet Pop plays him a bunch to justify the money.
Do you think Duncan can make it one more year?
Fear the Centerpiece.
Miami will play the NBA Finals this year.
Boston lost Perkins and they lost good part of his adavantage in the paint. The age is the key too. They aren't young anymore. One year has to be the last one for pierce,Allen & Garnett.
So we'll have HCA in the Finals![]()
Calvin and Hobbes, one of my favorite comics.
Chicago without, easily, and as already stated, pretty irrelevant topic. The Lakers are in the Spurs' way, and Boston in Chicago's.
Bonner makes 3 million, the big three make 44 million
has Bonner really been less than 1/15th as productive as the big 3?
I'd say of all the Spurs players not on their rookie contract, Bonner brings the most value per dollar right now
![]()
Yes, less. I have it at about 1/43 as productive as the big 3.
BTW, are you saying $3,000,000 isn't a load of money?
relative
btw RJ is getting 8+
based on...
I agree it's just as egregious.
But that wouldn't have made sense in the context of the comic strip. It was inferring that Bonner was going to be taking Splitter's minutes.
That may be one of the worst constructed analogies ever posted on the internets.
And yes, Bonner has been less than 1/15th as productive as the combined efforts of Duncan, Parker and Ginobili.
yes, production per dollar has no place in basketball, basketball isn't a business, money doesn't matter, there is no salary cap
based on?
His crappy basketball skills.
yeah that's what i figured![]()
My comment didn't argue against any of that. My comment was directed at the fact that comparing Bonner's production to the combined production of the Big 3 is silly. It is.
You brought up this silliness. Why don't you make the case that Bonner is that productive?
