Magic is even more of a heretic now.

Bynum should have never made those comments publicly. Call a players only meeting and discuss those issues internally with your teammates.

Both Miami and Dallas are playing head and shoulders above the rest right now.

The Mavs have the Lakers pointing fingers at one another. It's going to be a tough climb to come back and I think their chances are slim.

I was surprised the Lakers didn't come out w/more intensity & better execution. Dallas is doing a tremendous job keeping them off balance.

I have never seen a team take it to the Lakers at home in back-to-back playoff games.

Everytime someone blew a defensive assigment, everyone was looking at each other like "what, did I do?" there are underlying issues right now the Lakers need to resolve first before pointing fingers out. But Bynum imo deserves the right to call people out. He was the only one out there that really cared, Lamar too but his shot wasn't falling.
Bynum said the team has deep seated trust issues and suddenly TNT cuts away from him back to the studio. I didn't see if he actually finished the interview..
It's OK for Kobe or Phil to say that, just not anyone else.
Same here, not since the Spurs closed down the forum in 1999.
The Lakers are in serious trouble, it's not just about flipping the switch because they've actually played pretty good in their first 2 games, Dallas just played better. Kobe went off the first game, and then they had the inside game working with Bynum the 2nd while winning neither.
Sure they had some issues on defense, but that's because Dallas is so hard to guard on offense. You either let Nowitzki go 1 on 1, or double him giving other guys open shots. That's what has made Dallas so hard to defend over the last decade. I don't see how LA will pull themselves out of this, Dallas is just on top of their game.
lolololollollolloooololol
Funny how last summer when the Lakers signed Matt Barnes and Theo Ratcliffe all the experts claimed how they just solidified their bench and were clear cut favorites to Three-peat.
Well, TBH, their signings did look good
Bynum was pretty much saying "i got mine, the others didn't..it's not my fault" his demeanor was very like.
Maybe one day Kobe will have teammates deserving of his "trust."
How can your team have trust when your main guy rats out a teammate to the cops?
johnson sounds like he posts on lakersground
It seemed obvious to me he was saying "Kobe doesn't want to pass the ball, he wants to take all the shots and doesn't trust anyone else to score"
Exactly! The media getting on Drew when he has grown up watching his coach and HOF player use the media constantly in the same manor.
Drew was more talking about how he was getting burned cause he was covering the roller only to look over and see the picker dunking and a Laker shrugging his shoulders.
I actually think its a good thing and shows Drew is starting to stand up and take charge a little.
Well, since he has eloborated on the comments being mostly about defense and talking, and kobe has even commented by agreeing with him, you would be as usual...
full of !
Reprehensible act. Punk move.
Forgive and forget... live and learm... mature.
They never learn...![]()
Lakers probably don't even look at each eye to eye in the locker room and they are supposed to talk?
There is a reason Lakers always talk in the media. I honestly have never seen a good team and especially championship team do so much talking. Spurs & Boston sure as don't
Difficult to understand exactly what the he is saying with his mumbling.
Well Magic has a right to his opinion. Me personally, I like the growth and understanding Drew has attained, but that comment wasnt very smart or savy. I always feel if it's true, you cant crucify him for it. Just tell him to be smarter next time.
That would be a first for any Laker.
Telling someone to be smarter doesn't work. You have to hire smart people. If we just needed to know "be smarter", Ron Arrest wouldn't be suspended for game 3 because I am sure he's heard that a few times in his life.
