Just like that.
This is a truly eventful day for basketball
Finally the bad, arrogant, selfish brand of basketball has died in a way that honors its demeanor
We can at last hear no more ing to officials, no more calling for stupid advantages
The big one-eyed cyclops has been struck down and we can still hear the noise of its amorphous shape hitting the ground
A fitting end for their coach - a person who has won more rings than any other coach in the history of basketball but who has been always surrounded by great players. In his final years in the game, he grew accustomed to others bending to his will and to complain at anything that didn't conform to what he thought to be right. He became a man who would complain relentlessly to officials inside and out the court whenever something wasn't going his way
Last but not least, its demise comes spearheaded by the continued and stubborn unwillingness its franchise player has shown in leading its team across real adversity. If something is clear now, that player is not a real team player and have opted at times to fault his teammates when trying times were upon them. Always the sidekick of a better player, he swam the waves of glory multiple times disguised as a formidable player and took credit that wasn't his. In years to come, he will be remembered as a great scorer, probably the greatest, and a hall of famer... but most of all, as a hollywood icon who thought about himself too much rather than being one of the greatest. Some could say he had it all to become the greatest.. and I would agree
Finally, I'd like to say, we won't remember too much about their basketball - it was a bad nightmare that has come to its rightful end.
PS. to laker fans - all you want. it does not matter anymore

The Skunker!!!
great post
first Osama Bin Laden and now the crooked ass NBA couldn't control the destiny of their longtime, favorite team ... the only thing that could have made today better would have been a career ending injury to Kobe.
bin laden died then lakers got swept. coincidence?
Swept in the 2011 Playoffs:
Kobe: 1
Duncan: 0

America is beautiful son ... evil is being taken out
I know, Cubby, I know.
son he might still be able to run and jump, but his career has been over for 2 years now
Stuck you in a hole first, BR.
ha, ha.
fixed son.
I fixed it back.
tee, hee.
Son God bless these Unites States of America. The Lakers at the end definitely channeled their inner terrorist, sacrifising themselves to try and take out their betters. But good always prevails
The Heat are still in the playoffs...
Who are the tired old bags now?
Enjoy yourselves. Its all well earned.
Don't feel as bad as I thought I would. 2 les and 3 finals in 3 years gives you a bit of house money to play with. But its still bad. Oh, its bad. And all of you will squeeze every ounce out of it. And I wouldn't expect or ask any different.
It'll be a fun summer. If you ers are anything you're a creative bunch.
Duncan.
Three cheers Son...
