    Defending champs losing to a team that lost in the 1st round last year, when that team is missing one of it's star players. That would look bad. Getting swept by that team, worse.

    There were no great expectations for the Mavs nor the Spurs from the beginning of the year. Can't say the same for the Lakers.

    I don't think the Lakers could move Kobe with the amount he has remaining on his contract. He could opt for the league minimum and play 4th fiddle in Miami.
