They get 2 young players in this years draft + Caracter (they are in rebuild mode) and Blake. LO would start for them.

D-Will has a player option for 2012 season. In essence, he is an expiring KT. Might as well get something for him since they KNOW they are not winning jack anyway. Otherwise he walks after next season and they end up with nothing in return.

Why wouldn't it be true? Lamar Odom has a big impact on this team. He's so versatile and important since Bynum gets injured often and Gasol goes into feminine mode.

Odom's being underrated here. I definitely wouldn't trade Gasol for D-Will or Bynum and Odom may be just as important with his versatility and Bynum's injury history and Gasol femininity.

D-Will's a very good PG and alot younger so if the team wants to fresh, I can see that trade happening. However, if they still want a championship next season, then I would second guess it because Odom's really important and reliable. Besides, D-Will isn't a true franchise PG and always overrated by the OP.

D-will next to Kobe Bryant. Think about that for a minute. He is this close to CP playing with scrubs his whole career. Imagine if he had Kobe or Bynum to finish his assists?

The Laker bigs are underutilized. In order to see what they can really do, we need more than just Kobe that can throw a simple entry pass. A true PG would resolve that. It's funny, but Pau lead us in assists this year and he is a big. Imagine the Lakers offense with a true PG making plays for Kobe and our bigs.

I feel you on LO - he balled this year - but the Lakers have a massive hole at the PG position. Kobe ain't 24 years old no more - meaning he could mask that with his brilliance for 42 mpg. The Lakers need to obtain a true PG and if that means trading LO (who is on the wrong side of 30) to do it then so be it.
