Would it kill the Mavs, better yet Dirk? Would that be his last chance at a le? Would people quit calling him one of the greatest? Would he lose faith in the Mavs an demand a trade? I'm not taking anything away from him, but gotta win a le right? If not he's really no better then Barkley, Stockton, or Malone.

Who knows what it'll do. Dirk will most certainly be devastated. I don't dismiss his skills on the court. Cant take that away from him. Just so happens he's on a rival team and for that I really don't care what happens to him in his career. Yes, they knocked us out in '06 and that was tough. , it's tough watching this series. What has me interested either way are the story lines that will play out when the series is done. Did dirk do the right thing on staying? Will he ever get a ring if they lose this one? Will Lebron get the monkey off his back? Will Dampier retire with a ring instead of Dirk? All fascinating. Either way, some butts will be hurting this summer. HEAT IN 6!!!!!!

Whats up? What I do? 1st Dj Mbanga, then Finely, now Dampier former Mavs that will have a ring before Dirk. Ain't Life Grand. That's gotta sting a bit.

Kidd retires and they'll trade for Nash. Try again next season with a healthy SF and middle finger.

    Interesting idea.

Mavs offense would be pretty scary, but their defense would suffer a lot losing Kidd. Kidd provides a lot of versatility to the team defensively and a lot of times gets overlooked in that aspect by casual viewers.

There isn't going to be a season next year. Better get use to seeing the NHL and MLB a lot because those are the only pro sports that will be on in October.

He's not better than Barkley or Malone even if he wins. You probably never watched Barkley or Malone. Stockton is a PG, cannot compare.
