But yes, I agree, he has been resting dirk too much, and will sit him as soon as he starts to get hot just because they come back and tie it or take a 1 or 2 point lead. This is when he needs to keep playing to EXTEND the lead. I think this is one of the reasons they keep having to dig out of 7 - 11 point holes. They dirk comes in, they dig out, dirk sits down... wash, rinse, repeat

... game after game, the refs have bailed the mavs out during those stretches where it looks like the heat are going to take off with the game and go on a 20+ lead only to see their multiple 10+ pt leads diminish by bs bad calls from the zebras. is disgusting to watch!

The last games vs. the Heat Dirk played about 3 minutes more. I think Carlisle wanted to give Dirk a bit of extra rest due to the flu.
