I'm glad to see Costa Rica (my team) beat Cuba 5-0.
Only reason Costa Rica is in the cup because Japan bowed out due to the problems in that country.
I expect US and Mexico to be in the final and it's going to be war!!

I'd say so, yes. The season has become extremely long and unforgiving. Year after year these days, players barely have an offseason. I can't think of another sport where you're playing for 3 or 4 different trophies at any given time of year.
Not saying I want this changed, it's nice as a fan.
+ the fact that they often change the names or have multiple names for some cups, I also can see how it's hard to keep them straight. A cup that includes all of the americas, one only south, one only north+central, etc. etc. etc.
What I mean is... How many Cups is Costa Rica in? :P
