Hoopshype rumor states Spurs are holding a mini-camp next week

    http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

Two invitations-Raven Johnson-sounds like another poor shooter with potential but probably a Dleague canidate

    http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...-Johnson-5673/

and DeAngelo Casto-probably the future undersized bigman we all want

    http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...lo-Casto-5813/

Anybody hear any other names confirmed??

Here are a list of other good players with potential floating around
    http://dimemag.com/2011/06/top-10-un...011-nba-draft/

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/7...e-board/page/9

Personally, I would like to see Greg Smith invited. Good size, perfect Dleague canidate until he develops a jumper

FYI, this is where they spotted Neal last year. His FA camp showing got him a SL invite that got him a TC invite.

It's something the Spurs have to do before the lockout.

Greg Smith's a 6'10 253 center who isn't complete garbage as far as talent goes. Ben Hansbrough wouldn't be a bad guy to replace Chris Quinn, but then again is it worth it? Rick Jackson is a big dude who can grab some rebounds, lacks skills though. I wouldn't mind seeing at least one of those guys (especially Smith) in the camp.

I think Joseph is replacing Quinn for the time being.

idk I think Cory Joseph fits into the mold of what Pop wants out of his backup PG. I could see him being #2 immediately. Gary Neal's great and all, but I see most of his minutes being as Ginobili's backup. Maybe he'll get a few at PG that way James Anderson can get a little more PT this year. He's a 2nd year player who was drafted 20th, he deserves a decent chance to prove himself. Hopefully he'll be in shape coming into the season. If we're able to ship RJ's ass out of town, maybe Anderson can play some SF. He's more of a guard, but at 6'6 with his good defense and solid athleticism I don't think SF is too much of a reach. For a while he played some backup last year.

Greg Smith and Malcolm Thomas would be the two UDFAs I'd like to bring in the most.

I'm holding out hope that Pop's gotten the "not a point guard playing point guard" thing out of his system and lets Neal play 2 and Anderson play 3, regardless of what happens with Joseph or Jefferson. I agree that JA did fine at small forward. It'll be even easier if the Spurs have more than one seven footer behind him.

I like Richmond, Thomas, and Hansbrough, McCamey, and Skeen...Lot of good names on that list. Dunn many though would have been a first rounder last year, very much like Neal someone is gonna pick him up.

If I had to pick, Thomas and Skeen as the spurs need bigs that can really move. Thomas is a great defender. Skeen moves well and can post and shoot, both would fit.
McCamey, on talent, is a first rounder. He's just a ing headcase and a half.

De Colo will probably never make it to be honest. He's still under contract I believe. Gist played with Jan Veseley's team in Serbia.
