SAN ANTONIO -- The founder of "Hookers for Jesus" is in San Antonio to help local pros utes get off the street and onto the road to salvation.

Annie Lobert spent 16 years in the sex industry. After a drug overdose, Lobert said she had a spiritual awakening and formed the organization to help other pros utes find the Lord.

"We get a lot of resistance form certain churches and it's because of our name and what we do, and that is to reach out to this population of women that are considered a sinner in both place, in churches and in the world, that can never be redeemed," she said. "And that's completely untrue because Jesus hung out with pros utes."

Lobert spoke at a New Generation Fellowship on Sunday. She is married to OZ Fox, a founding member of the Christian heavy metal group Stryker.
